I read 4 books this week and The Wedding Crasher was my #1! I loved it so much! I read it in one day because I couldn’t put it down! I wrote a very incoherent mini-review on Goodreads to gush about it.  ❤️ If you love contemporary romance, you need to pick this one up. It’s delightful!

I really liked The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue too! It’s a very character-driven book. It was beautifully written. I loved several aspects of it. The way V.E. Schwab incorporated art into Addie’s life was absolutely beautiful in my opinion. I loved the characters, too. And the ending was perfect in my opinion. However, the twist was predictable, the plot was ok and it was very slow-paced. Blood of Elves was an enjoyable read too. I love these characters. I really enjoyed the history that is shared about the elves, dwarves, and humans and the time in Kaer Morhen with the witchers. The world is definitely expanded much more here than in the short stories. However, the way it is told takes me out of the story. The timeline can be very confusing at times. I enjoyed it more than the short stories, though. I’ll definitely read the next book.

A Deal with the Elf King was so enjoyable too! The Hades and Persephone vibes were great. The world-building was interesting and I liked the characters. Luella and Eldas had a pretty interesting relationship at first. I really liked the slow-burn romance between them. The story was somewhat light and I think it might have worked better if it had gone a little darker. Overall, an entertaining, enjoyable fantasy romance.

I made a little progress with King of Battle and Blood. I’m at 81%. I’m still getting too many From Blood and Ash vibes and I think there’s a trope coming into play that I don’t like much. We’ll see. I read 4 chapters of The Cheat Sheet and I’m already loving it! The pining… 🥵❤️Bree and Nathan are so great together. Hopefully, I’ll finish it tomorrow.

Mood reading is still working for me, so I’m not sure what I’ll pick up next. An Arrow to the Moon or Starsight might be my next picks.

Share your three Ws with me in the comments.

  1. I loved Addie!! It’s such a beautiful book. I’ve heard the same thing about the confusing timelines with the Witcher books. I think that’s why I haven’t picked them up yet. I’ve been slowly collecting them because my husband wants to read them. I might someday! I hope you have an amazing week.

    1. Addie was great. The writing was so beautiful.
I read the Witcher’s short stories, so I was used to it but I though the first book would be different. It is different in certain aspects but the timelines are still confusing. However, the concept, the characters, and the story (even the old history of the witcher’s world) are really good. That’s why I’ll keep reading the books, haha.
Thanks, Leslie! An amazing week to you too. Happy reading! 🙂

  2. I still need to read Addie but I’m so glad to hear that you loved it, Andie. I also love the sound of The Wedding Crasher and will defo be keeping my eye out for a copy! I do agree that KoBaB has strong FBAA vibes—there are many similarities but I do feel like it’s a step up from FBAA (although not by leaps and bounds). I wasn’t a fan of the FBAA books (even though I hate-read them all LOL) so I did enjoy KoBaB more! I hope you have a great reading week ahead 🙂
