I’ve only read 2 more romances on this list since my last ranking post. I’m thinking about trying to read the other 5 books I haven’t read in the next few months and then do a full ranking. Maybe even take another chance on The Road Trip, this time with the ebook instead of the audiobook. Because it might be fun to see if my top 4 would remain unchallenged. Anyway, here’s my ranking with the 14 books I read in the Romance category:
14. 2 stars
13. 2.5 stars
12. 3.5 stars
11. 3.5 stars
10. 4 stars
9. 4 stars
8. 4 stars
7. 4 stars
6. 4 stars
5. 4 stars
My top 4 remained unchallenged after I read Neon Gods and The Love Hypothesis. Which is surprising! I was betting that The Love Hypothesis could’ve end up in the first spots or maybe even reach #1.
These four were all 5 star reads for me. And I can’t rank them. Like I said before. But for the sake of this post… I did. Because today is the last voting day in the final round, so after a lot of back and forth… here it is. My top 4 ranked:
4.
3.
2.
1.
Honestly, this was tough! I ended up deciding by comparing overall enjoyment, characters, setting, chemistry, favorite moments and analysing which one of these 4 books was the most memorable to me. It was close. I voted for The Spanish Love Deception after this exercise (what a debut!!!) but I’m happy if either one of these 4 wins.
My prediction is that the winner will be The Love Hypothesis or People We Meet on Vacation, purely basing it on number of ratings and average rating.
May the odds be ever in your favor.
The Spanish Love Deception seems to be a huge hit this year and I still have it on my TBR. I did try reading it earlier this year but wasn’t vibing with it so I put it down but I’m hoping to come back to it before December ends! Hopefully! 😅 Same goes for Eve Brown!
