O.W.L.s Magical Readathon 2020 TBR

I think this is the most excited I have ever been about a readathon EVER! If you are a Harry Potter fan, you should definitely participate in this readathon because everything about it is magical and cozy.

Here is the announcement video, the readathon was created by G @ Book Roast, if you’re interested, all the information is also in the Magical Readathon websiteincluding FAQs and the guidebook. To keep it short and simple, this readathon is based on the exams that take place in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. In April we have the O.W.L.s (Ordinary Wizarding Level exams), basically you have to pick a Wizarding career and then you need to take the O.W.L.s required for that career, those O.W.L.s will be your prompts and then you have to pick the books that fit the respective prompts and read them. Sounds fun, right?

There were so many amazing Wizarding Careers that I struggled to pick one. I was interested in Librarian, Trader of Magical Tomes, Potioneer, Curse Breaker, Auror, Quidditch Referee, etc.  I ended up writing all of these careers in pieces of paper and picking one randomly because I literally couldn’t decide! I got Curse Breaker (you can check what it is here: Wizarding Careers Guide 2020 Curse Breaker).

Curse Breaker O.W.L.s

  • Ancient Runes – Heart Rune: heart on the cover or in the title

  • Arithmancy – Magical qualities of number 2: balance/opposites – read something outside your favourite genre

  • Charms – Lumos Maxima: white cover

  • Defence Against the Dark Arts – Grindylows: book set at the sea/coast

  • Potions – Shrinking Solution: book under 150 pages

36064768. sy475

  • Transfiguration – Animagus Lecture: book/series that includes shapeshifting

This is an exciting TBR, right? Let’s hope I manage to read these books. Oh, this isn’t my April TBR, I’ll be adding a few more books and I’ll post an April TBR dedicated post soon. My March TBR didn’t go very well, as you may already know since I’ve included one book from that post here (yes, I haven’t post my wrap up yet). However, I really want to read some books that have been calling my name and I’ve been in a great mood to read so let’s hope it goes well. There’s a very intimidating book here because of its size… 803 pages (Why Sarah J. Maas? Whyyyy?). But let’s not think about that for now.

Are you participating in a readathon? Or are you thinking about it? Tell me about it in the comments.
