Top Ten Tuesday #4

Top Ten Tuesday.jpg

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. If you like books and lists, you’re going to love this. Basically, they have a topic for each week and they’ll post a new Top Ten list on their blog, everyone is welcome to join and all they ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post and you can also add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post.

This week’s topic is:

Top Ten Books We’re Thankful For

1. Beauty and The Beast by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve

2. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain

3. The Diary of Anne Frank by Anne Frank

4. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

5. Hansel and Gretel by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm

These first five books marked my first years as a reader. I absolutely loved Beauty and The Beast and Hansel and Gretel, my mom used to read both over and over to me and I never got tired of it. The Diary of Anne Frank was the first book that broke my heart… The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and Little Women were two of my favorite books ever! I still reread both of them sometimes, especially during Christmas… don’t know why!

6. A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

7. Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling

8. Dracula by Bram Stoker

9. The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien

10. Ruthless King by Meghan March

Dracula was my first vampire book and it’s still my favorite, the first book in the Harry Potter’s series sucked me into Hogwarts world and I’m still wishing for an acceptance letter on my mailbox! The Fellowship of The Ring turned me into a book devourer, I couldn’t read fast enough to get to the end of Frodo and Sam’s journey (I’m also a fan of Faramir), I think I didn’t sleep more than 3 hours per night until I reached the last page of The Return of the King. A Game of Thrones was a book I picked up because I liked the title (yeah, that really happened), I read the blurb and bought it to try a new author to me. I didn’t read it for a few weeks but when I started it, I read it everywhere even when I was walking to work! Little did I now, it was only the beginning of a long, long journey… Ruthless King is my current obsession, I’m loving this series and I just couldn’t leave the beginning of Mount Trilogy out of this list.

What books (or anything else) are you thankful for?

Let’s chat!

Andie
